Our client is running Accpac Sales Analysis and recenting indicated that when running detail reports some items are missing from detail that otherwise reported in the past. The detail reports contain transactions from several different years so it does not appear to be a by date issue. Summary reports for similar data contain missing detail.

1) Is this a known issue that AI SA will not continue to operate properly?

2) Yes/No to 1)above. Is it possible to retrieve and report on this data with Softrak Sales Analysis, or should we assume this data is lost?

3) Either way, are there any limitations to Softrak Sales Analysis functioning properly?

Hello Pat,

For support on AI Sales Analysis, you may want to post a question on the Plus Community forum instead: http://www.pluscommunity.com/

I can answer questions on Softrak Sales Analysis but I don't know all the issues of AI Sales Analysis.
From your description, it sounds as if details have been cleared.

Softrak Sales Analysis can only retrieve details from AI Sales Analysis. It does not convert summary information.

The limitations to Softrak Sale Analysis working properly are usually limited to procedure. For example, OE is reinstalled and the Sales Analysis capture is not. Or an add-on program is installed and information is cleared prior to being captured by Sales Analysis.

To overcome these limitations, functions have been added to Sales Analysis that allow you to "scan" information in from other programs such as AI Sales Analysis details, Order Entry Orders and Invoices files, Quik Invoice History and Accpac Options Invoice History.

From your description of the process for Softrak Sales Analysis it may be possible to scan the sources you note and possible reassemble similar data. Is this accurate? Thanks for your assistance.

Hello Pat,

As long as you have Softrak Sales Analysis 6.5A and have not purged the detailed data from the other sources (OE, etc), then you do have the opportunity of 'reassembling' the data. Note also that the 'scan' function also has some built-in checking to make sure duplicate transactions are not brought in.
