Hi Softrak,
My XP SP2 PC is set to download and install Microsoft Updates automatically so only the great one above knows what may have changed.
The setting above that worked before, did so with the CHM file on the network drive only. Now that setting nor others that I have tried from the Microsoft links above work.
One thing that I'm still not understanding from your post is when you say "leave BRwin.CHM on the network and also the alternate local location where it will ultimately be run from".
How does one get Adagio to stop using the network reference and tell it to use the local copy of the file if we're not to move or rename it? Adagio needs it there on opening and I can't find a way to get Adagio to allow me to show it a new path to the file.
BTW - Didn't I hear something mentioned about the new 8.1 versions having to change the from the .HLP system which was no longer supported in Vista ? If so, I assume that you guys must have found a method that now works on network drives correct ?
Regards, Pete
