The answer to your second question is that the default export format can be set in the User Preferences and the Reports tab. You can set the format and folder location here.

The first answer is more difficult, as it relies on the Crystal DLL that does the export to Word, and Adagio has no control over that process. If other workstations do not have the same export to Word problem, maybe the issue is just that your workstation does not have access to a good file, and you could try re-running the workstation setup. If other workstations have the same problem, there is something else going on that we could only guess at since I cannot replicate the problem.
