To clear the provisionally posted batches you must post another batch. Otherwise, you won't receive the prompt to clear what had been provisionally posted previously.

When you post an actual batch and clear what was posted provisionally before, the Financial Reporter will also clear the numbers it is holding in provisional.

Something that has chanced in GL9 is that you are also able to provisionally post to the Next Year. This can be done either by selecting Post | to Next Year Provisional from the menu or by selecting the radio dot beside the next fiscal year on the Year field of the Posting .... window (this can effectively change a posting from current to next year.

The only time I am prompted to clear provision posting when I am posting to the Next Year is when I have actually provisionally posted something to the Next Year. If my provision posting is to the current year, posting a batch to the Next Year does not prompt me for clear provisional at all.

You are also able to post provisionally from the regular Post to Current or Next Year windows by turning the Post Provisionally checkbox on.
