When I print the Physical Inventory Worksheet, the descriptions are cut off. How do I get to print out the whole descriptions?

How long are your item descriptions? Are they in ALL CAPITAL LETTERS? If you have a very long description, it may not fully display. The reason is that if the Report Group field is selected as part of the report sort/selection, it prints immediately to the right of the item description. There isn't any more room on the report to make the description field wider.

If you require the long descriptions and in ALL CAPS, then the only way to get all of the text is to use Crystal Reports for Adagio to modify the report and either increase the width of the description field, or set the font size smaller so that it fully displays on the report.

yes the descriptions are all in capital letters. i thought something like the "maintain specification--order designer" that i can change the field width. i'll take your suggestion to try the Crystal Reports. Thank you!

Hello HZN,

A very fast way of changing the case of the drescriptions of all your inventory items is to export the item number and description to Excel, add a column that uses the =PROPER(string) function to capitalize only the first letters of each word. You can also use the =LOWER() function to lowercase all the characters. Copy the resulting formula and then "paste special" (values) over the old description and then import the resulting spreadsheet back into inventory.

Mixed or lower case text is easier to read.
