We have created an invoice where it will fit 15 detail lines per page. But a number of the invoices will not be 15 lines but will be 1, 3, 5, 9 whatever.

As per the screen shot attached is there a way to continue the numbering down the left hand side to max out at the 15 detail limit even though there are not 15 detail lines in the invoice?

Hi Scott,

If there is no detail record to print, then there are no line number information to print. So short answer, no.

A poor workaround could be to enter blank comment lines to fill the number of details to 15. But you really don't want to do that.

Why would you want this?

It is not what I want but the client. They feel with the full 15 lines not printing out on the spec regardless of how many lines in the invoice it looks "incomplete". They will just have to adjust.

If I received an invoice with the empty numbers 5-15 on it I'd wonder what wasn't being printed! Tell them the numbers are there but are printed in white font...

The last time I saw invoices with line numbers was in the pre PC days.
