Hello,

A user informed that her mail queue in Receivables was not being processed.

I received the following access violations when attempting to send force-ably send email from the queue.

Adagio Receivables

Access violation at address 00409ECE in module 'RECEIVABLES.EXE' Read of address 07C82DE0

&

Access violation at address 00409ECE in module 'RECEIVABLES.EXE' Read of address 07C82EC0

&

Access violation at address 00409ECE in module 'RECEIVABLES.EXE' Read of address 07C82DA0

If I selected only a few items from the queue and send them, it would work. If I attempted to send more than 20 at a time, I would receive the access violation.

Thank you,

Hello,

If this is occurring in Adagio Cloud, you should contact cloudsupport@softrak.com directly so they can test and have a look at the server logs from their end.

Questions for you:
  • Is AR emailing configured as MAPI or Direct?
  • If you send from another user's workstation, can you send more than 20 emails?
  • Which version and release date of Receivables?

Joe:

For the forum to help you with this issue, we do need to know;

MAPI or Direct?

If MAPI, Outlook or other?

Exchange server?

Office 365? Cloud version?

Recently Office 365 doesn't like it when more than 30 emails in a minute are sent (I believe that is a new restriction). Not sure if this is what is causing the problem or not. If it is, the AR doesn't know how to deal with the error that Office 365 is kicking back, so it through up it's hands in frustration and reports an Access Violation error.

Another client has a similar issue with emailing PayDirt Pay Advices. We recommend trying a service called, smtp2go.com. We haven't tested this yet ourselves.

Morning,

Yes, its Adagio Cloud, latest version of AR.
Direct using Gmail for business.

It would be nice to have more refined exception handling within Adagio. Access Violations along with a memory location aren't very helpful when troubleshooting.

Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Just another Adagio frustration.
