There is an inconsistency in the way the Job Status report prompts for dates versus other similar reports in Adagio.

In the Job Status report, if you change the Starting date, it automatically changes the default Ending date to match the starting date. This is almost never the way a user would want to use the report.

Please revise the setting so that changing the Starting date does not change the default Ending date. This would be consistent with, for example, the Payables Vendor Transaction report and the Receivables Customer Transaction report.

Hi Steve,

The reason for this is that in the JobCost Company Profile, the Print Option for 'Copy start to end range' is enabled. If you turn off this option, then entering a start date (or any other start value) will not be copied to the end value.

Yes, this option is not available in other Adagio programs, and does work differently.

Please change that option so that it doesn't apply to date ranges. Or get rid of it altogether and have JobCost work like the other modules.

Defaulting the ending field to the starting field is a wonderful feature, EXCEPT FOR DATES, where it's stupid. To combine them into one option forces users to have to compromise.
