Dear Team

My client is having a challenge with the management of Adagio Lanpak License where the users will open concurrent modules need for their work in the morning and have them remain open through out the day to secure a Lanpak license. This create a challenge in that it use up all the license and others can not get on.

The flexibility of having users open multiple modules simultaneously is good but this blessing is now becoming a curse, because of "UN-intentional Abuse"..

We need a system to manage lanpak licenses, where by if no activity is registered over a predefined period the module is automatically (safely closed out)..

Any or all comments welcomed...

Hello Edward,

Lanpaks are all about convenience - the convenience of not having to ask people to exit the software to perform a function at another workstation.

Lanpaks cost between between $11-$17/month (the higher the lanpak count, the lower the monthly cost) when you amortize the acquisition cost over 3 years. You do not have to save an employee much time in a month in order to show a positive ROI.

Perhaps reviewing the modules that staff are opening to see whether they really need access to the module would be worth doing. People in Invoices can review a customer account without opening Receivables. They can look up Inventory information as well without requiring a lanpak.

Thanks Andrew, fully aware of those features and functionality expressed.

Just bear in mind in Jamaica it is JA$130 to US$1. and changing daily.

My users enter data and generate reports from the various modules.

However, my clients are requesting of me to provide a solution to this (operational) challenge.

Suggestion is (An Adagio LANPAK Management Tool to optimize user interface.)

Regards
Edward

Hi Edward,

I'm sorry about the currency situation. I'm sure it makes life difficult.

Unfortunately, justifying R&D development to reduce our revenue is a tough sell. I don't think you will be able to find an automatic solution for your client and they will just have to become more disciplined in their own use of the modules.
