In Adagio PO, you can enter a requisition and eventually "approve" it, whereupon it becomes a PO.

A client would like to restrict the approval function to a selected user (ie the supervisor). Is this doable?

If this is not possible, they would like to be able to see which Adagio user approved the requisition. I see fields called Approval User and Approval Date, but I can't make them work that way.

Am I missing something?

Hi Steve,

The way security works, if the Security groups allows New for POs, they can Approve a Requisition.

Hi, Steve,

What version(release date) of PO are you using? I ask because you are able to see who approved a Requisition and when by adding the Approval 1 Date, Time and/or User fields to the grid. I'm using 9.2B and can see this information.

When approved, the new PO is created from the requisition and the Requisition document code is stored in the new PO's Reference field.

Darn, that's a problem because at this client they only need approval on requisitions above $1,500.

So how about my second option - is there a way to stamp the Adagio User ID who "approved" the requisition?

Hi, Steve,

I should also say that those fields may be added to both the Requisitions and the POs grids.

Yes, but they populate when you create a Requisition and appear misnamed, since they don't seem to have anything to do with the "approval" process.

I'm looking for a field that is blank until the Requisition is approved, at which point it gets populated with the user who did the approval.

Hi, Steve,

You may be confusing the fields with the Created by fields.

Hi Steve,

POTracker security can control who can approve a purchase request(Requistion) and the amount they can approve.
If you would like to explore this option, a demo program can be made available and a Help document can be provided that details the security setup necessary for PO approval.
