A client prints carton labels in multiples of two, depending on the customer.

Is there any way to default the number of labels on the OrderEntry Total tab to 2 instead of 1? Or even better, to default based on the customer (or shipto)?

Also, when they go to print their labels using OrderEntry | Print Shipping Labels, there are a couple of problems:

1) the system always defaults to Invoices, and they want to print for a range of Orders - can it remember the latest setting? I tried ticking "Remember report settings" under User Preferences but it didn't make a difference

2) Once you enter a beginning order number, the "Number of labels" field is grayed out, and displays the number of labels for the beginning order. That doesn't change when you enter the ending order number, and if it happens that the beginning order has zero for the number of labels, then no labels at all will print.

A suggestion has been added for R&D to set a default number for the number of labels.

1. Instead of Report Options, Remember report settings, check General, Remember form settings for this one. The document type is remembered.
2. I could not duplicate this one. If the first Order had 0 set, the first Order did not print. However, the other orders in the range did print with the number of labels specified on each Order.

We have done something similar and use PrintBoss.

I know it requires another software purchase ($1000) and you are aware of PrintBoss solutions. And sites cringe at another bill for software, but most sites should be aware that it just frees up so many issues relating to printing logistics in all Adagio modules (and other software), that PrintBoss should be an essential part of most installations core processing.

If anyone is trying to figure how to print certain forms, certain copies, barcodes, fine print on the reverse of forms, automatic emailing, efiling, optional printing (when you just say print), or to different destinations (copies to different cities)based upon any content information on the form, then talk to your consultant about installing PrintBoss. It does way more than just print checks.
