With OE 8.1F configured in the best way for my business, we would like to use the direct printing of Order Confirmation option as it would be a great time saver. However, it is not working the way God & Andrew expected it to work.

We have chosen to have orders sorted in reverse order with the newest orders at the top of the list. This causes a problem with the direct printing of Order Confirmations. In this configuration, there is no blank line to double click to start a new order because the blank line is at the far end of the order list. Therefore the "New" button must be used to start a new order. This has a bad unexpected effect.

After starting a new order, the last order modified or viewed is still highlighted and "selected" in the order list. After a new order is entered and the "Order Confirmation" window comes up, the program prints the "Order Confirmation" for the old "selected" order, not the new order just entered. This cannot be edited.

I hope there is a fix for this quickly as it will save a lot of keystrokes in sending confirmations for every order before they are completed.

Hi Rick,

In case starting from a blank line is a workaround that helps temporarily, I thought I'd mention that once in the order list you can hit the [End] key and press [Enter] to start your new orders.

Hello Pete,

This is a good suggestion but I have found that if we don't have direct Picking List printing turned on also that the Confirmations print to the correct customer and we are doing that now as it is very quick to print the Picking Slip. Also the sample data works without this problem so it is something in our own configuration. I will send our data to Softrak to see where the problem is coming from.
