Good day gents!

All of a sudden for no reason whatsoever no one can log on to any of the Adagio modules.

" All Adagio Lanpak licenses (10) are already in use. This application cannot be started...."

I have checked the user count and we are not at 10.
I have checked the Lanpak status (chksys.exe) and it reports 10 ok!

Is there a way to restart the lanpack manager?

Thank you and,

Cheers, JK

On a Workstation that has Adagio opened what does Help | Active Users say..

Or are you saying no one can open any Adagio module?

No one could open any Adagio module and now, the problem has just gone away - we are all back in...

Is there a place where one can see the status of the lanpak manager? - when the problem was ongoing I looked at "active users" and it reported none...

Thanks for posting up!

Hi, John,

Active Users will tell you which users are logged into what module for the dataset opened. If more than one dataset is in use, you would need to check Active Users for each dataset.

However, selecting Help | About within any module will tell you how many licenses are currently in use, eg. 4 of 10.

Selecting Help | System Check and then the Check Lanpak Status button will tell you how many of what version of Lanpaks are installed.

Thank you for your reply.

I confirmed that the lanpaks are installed correctly by using chksys - thank you.

Using help | about within any module only works if you are logged into a data set.

No part of Adagio runs on the server.

Thank you Andrew.

Are there any log files I might be able to review to ascertain what happened?

Cheers, JK

None that we maintain.

Perhaps your had run out Lanpaks in anoher company? Did someone start and old copy of GridView Server?

Write it off and see if it happens again.
