I already called tech support on this one and left a voice message, but maybe someone else has come across this:
We download two .CSV files (items.csv and orders.csv) from our Yahoo store and run them through a script that combines the two into a single files and turns it into an ACCPAC PLUS compatible fixed length text file. We would then use the ACCPAC Order Import add-on module to import the orders contained in that file into ACCPAC using the #6 template. Worked (and still works) great!
When I try to import those orders from Yahoo into Adagio Order Entry, everything appears to work (no errors, correct number of orders and items imported etc.) - but when I look at the imported orders in Adagio OE, the unit price appears where the item description should be. In other words, where it should read 'Grill handle', it reads '1499'. In the price field, where it should read '14.99', it reads '0.00'.
I checked the Order Import template number 6: The description field is 40 characters long, starts at character 43 and ends with character 82. (We do not import any imformation from the Yahoo orders into this field.) The next field is the one called 'Unit Price'. It is 15 characters long and starts at character 83.
I looked at the import file. The unit price in the import file starts at character 83 - and yet, Adagio OE Import puts the unit price in the item description field. Again, this works just fine in ACCPAC Order Import.
Bug? Error on my part? Did I miss something? Any help would be greatly appreciated. In the meantime, we'll continue to use ACCPAC order Import.
BTW, I had asked about this before: Is is possible to upload files to this forum? I think it be helpful. It's a closed forum, so I don't think abuse would be an issue.
Thanks,
Andre
