My client is looking for a way to email a group of statements to one person. While she loves Statement Groups for the reports she prints, she is looking for a better way to email than exporting to separate Excel files for each statement.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,
Monique

Hi moniqueS,

If your client has MS Office 2003, they'll find a printer "Auto Microsoft Office Document Image Writer". This is MS's answer to Adobe's PDF and I believe is installed free with MS Office. It creates a file of type ".MDI"

Your client could print either to that printer, or purchase Adobe Acrobat and create PDF files to email to the client.

This is the most straightforward method of sending statements in a format readable by most recipients.

We are aware that in some circumstances it would be useful to send s Statement Group as an Excel workbook. We are still working out the naming details for both the sheets and workbook names.

YOu can also download a free utility that creates PDF files. CUTE PDF

It installs as another printer. When you "print" to it, you are prompted for a file name and a PDF file is created that can easily be attached to an e-mail.

Works nicely.
