I have a client with the following Adagio Payables 6.8B 040506 problem:

When trying to post a manual check batch they get the following error:

Error 1342 occurred when attempting to Append record to Check Rec Batch detail.

They can post the batch using Plus without any errors.

Sounds like a rights or multi-user issue but not sure why Plus would not have the same problem.

Any ideas ?

Firstly, Thanks for the prompt reply.

This would be my first (to my knowledge) encounter with the results of incorrect OpLocks settings. As I am now getting more clients in other countries and therefore less involved with the Workstation installs this type of configuration problem will probably be more likely. However, I did think that the Adagio installs (6.8b and above) now checked for this.

Is there a link/document that would list "Errors possibly related to incorrect OpLock settings" ?

Secondly, sorry for the repeat query as this topic has obviously been dealt with before but I did try to search for a previous occurance.

I did several variations of a search, the most likely, I thought, for a specific result being a search for "1342" in the entire message - but got no hits. After checking your link I tried again and still no hits other than my own query.

What am I doing wrong ? How did you locate the post that you directed me to ?

Thirdly, I thought OpLocks affected Plus as well - Would it be politically correct to assume that Adagio is more sensitive to the OpLock settings than Plus ?
