In AR we are able to store customer credit cards and use them whenever authorized for new orders. When entering these credit cards on our virtual terminal, we want to increase our security to include CVV and/or billing address for verification, however, I don't see where we can store the billing address or CVV in Adagio AR. How is this handled generally? We have hundreds of customers who have trusted us to keep their credit cards on file for many years with no issues, however, we want to stop the potential for new customers to use someone else's credit card fraudulently to purchase from us. Please advise.

Hello Susan,

You cannot store customer credit cards in Adagio Receivables and be PCI-DSS compliant. (You could at one point, but the specification has changed and now includes a requirement to log every person who Views the information.) Your merchant agreement specifically states that you are not allowed to store the CVV code anywhere but with the specific transaction being transmitted.

Your payment processor likely provides some sort of "Vault" facility for storing your customer's credit card information.
