Are there any known issues with Ledger and Windows10 regarding getting the message "checking for missing data files". I am running Adagio Ledger 9.2A Released: 2015-09-03.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled ledger to no avail. Payables works normally.

Hi, Lyndon,

I can direct you to the other threads. One site did resolve the issue by replacing the w/s as the issue was definitely environmental. In the other case, the problem does not apper to happen every single sime the program is started.

GL 9.2A always shows that message at the bottom. It doesn't mean it is missing data files as far as I know. The program opens and works without any problem. if your network is slow it will show the message for a longer time.

This is a local install with local data. We have excluded both the C:\softrak\system and Adagio data folders from all virus scanning. We are stumped!

Is the program crashing? I normally see that message on the bottom left corner of the main window. Does your program stops with this message? Could you post the message?

Hello,

Was this "missing data" issue in Ledger ever resolved ? I had a report earlier today from a client who said her Ledger wasn't opening. Message was "missing data files" with an endless spin. Task manager reported "not responding" so sounds similar to the problem that some have reported. My intention is to be on-site early tomorrow, so appreciate any suggestions.
The programs are installed on the local workstation only, with the data stored on the server. All programs were updated to 9.2 releases in early September and this problem just surfaced today.

Thanks for any and all advice.

Sandra

Sounds like an antivirus issue. Check if there was an antivirus or Windows update. Some security settings don't like you writing in the C:\ drive.

My issued turned out to be an orphaned window in moving from a dual monitor setup to a single monitor setup. The solution is the following keyboard combination: Alt Spacebar M and then arrow left or right (depending on which side the orphaned window was on).

further to my previous comment, you need to hold down the arrow key because it gradually moves the "Open Adagio Ledger" window.
