You can also reset the Windows positions and Sizes using Menu option Windows | Original Sizes

Actually, the Windows key + arrow key will not work if that monitor is no longer connected.

You may have to press it multiple times. The first press docks to the (non-existent) monitor's left edge. The next one to the adjacent monitor's right edge. Then the centre of the next monitor. Then it's left edge.

So the answer is that Windows 10 is automatically changing the display scaling whenever connected to a new monitor (be it a projector or TV). Windows detects the recommended setting for the monitor it is connected to and is changing it. To fix the problem you have to change the scaling back to 100%, apply, log out of Windows, and log back in - THEN the scaling will "stick".

Adagio will not properly launch unless the scaling is at 100%.

It depends how many modules need to be placed on the Adagio toolbar. That's where the scaling causes a problem at any text size other than 100%.

Found out today that the display scaling not 100% = hang on "checking for missing data files" issue affects Windows 8 also.
