Hi Marc,
There are things for the Financial Reporter stored in the Windows Registry, so if you log into the workstation as one user, it is possible to see different things as compared to logging into the workstation as a different user.
Are you using Adagio Ledger or FX? What version?
How are you opening the Adagio Ledger/FX program and do you use any parameters such as /u or /p to assign the Adagio user ID or password?
Closing the Financial Reporter will want to write any program changes to the registry, so one possible reason for an error is that the writing is failing. Could be other things as well.
When you drag an account group onto a blank sheet, you have to select the 'SmartSheet' option in order to see account numbers in column B and descriptions in column C.
What do you mean when 'actively using' the Account Data window? Just that it is open, or are you doing stuff to it? The Account Data window lists the available field codes to use for financial statements, and it is possible to edit the description. It is also possible that the file is corrupted. If so, you might need to exit the Financial Reporter and all Adagio programs, and rename the GLATREE.dat data file from your data directory, and then re-open Adagio and the Financial Reporter to recreate the file.
If you log into Adagio as a user other than SYS, it is possible that rights are affected is security groups are defined in Ledger/FX. To get full access to the Financial Reporter, ensure you use Maintenance / Maintain Financial Reporter to start the program.
You may require assistance from your Adagio consultant to address some of these issues.
