If you close Ledger and re-open it, does the message still persist?
Some file that stores which user is performing which task has not been cleared correctly for some reason. If it was the user in Ledger and re-opening the data solves the problem, then that is simple.
If not, then likely another user in the company data today had an underlying problem that didn't clear the above file correctly. The solution will involve everyone exiting Adagio and renaming the ezsemtab.dat file in the your data directory.
