IC 8.1C 20110713 DIC in Inventory Control doesn't show any errors.
Datacare 9.0A 20110324 run on the same database, shows multiple errors for each of the following examples:
"BOM Master item XXX XXXXXX, BOM 66, line 1, component YYY YYYYY is not active" False error, Component is ACTIVE.
"Item F82 14733 has orphan history records" Seems to be correct because the item doesn't exist.
It seems to me that Datacare and IC are not in sync. I will not be able to run IC on the Datacare job until this issue is solved. Please, let me know when.

When IC 8.1C was released, a new filed for Active Item was created. I think Datacare is checking that field instead of the new one. I wanted to verify this theory but the field is not available in the dictionary any more.

Using the current release of Adagio Inventory 8.1C (2011.07.13) where Bill of Materials are defined, I cannot replicate the situation with sample data where DataCare reports false errors on the active status of component items. Also, if a component item is marked with the inactive status, I do get this 'warning' in the integrity checks within Adagio Inventory:
BOM Master item aaa.aaa-aaa, BOM bbb, line 4, component ccc.ccc-ccc is not active.
Note that this is a 'warning' and not an 'integrity error' that requires fixing. If there is a concern that Adagio DataCare is not reporting the 'application warning' then I can forward this to development, but the integrity of the data is in fact clean.
----
If you want to check the Active Item status of an IC Item, this field is available on the column editor - the first one if you sort the field list alphabetically from User Preferences. This field was not removed from the dictionary. If you find that any items have a 'blank' value for Active Item, then this is an error - likely caused by using an older version of Purchase Orders for Adagio to create items.

The Active Item contains an "A". The false warning distracts the attention to real errors happening in Datacare.

We still need the data. We're not getting the same results here.

The items were deactivated on Dec 21,2010. Datacare showed that those components were not active and rebuilt the "errors" automatically activating the components (undesirable status). The message did not show up in Datacare 8.1A anymore. However, the errors show with Datacare version 9.0A (that was installed at the same time) without the IC service pack. Unless, something is already installed in the local workstation that doesn't allow me to recreated the environment without the IC Service Pack.
If I open the Items table with @N80AITM dictionary, it shows the Active Item field with an I and all the Active Records show a blank. If I open the Items table with @N81CITM dictionary, it shows the Active Item field with an A. Does it mean that there are two Active Item fields and now Datacare is checking the old one?
