To whom it may concern,

When I run Accounts Receivable statements I have noticed that it takes considerably longer to run the second batch of statements than the first.

This is the process I do:

1. Print the statement to blank paper. This takes very little time to run and print. (less than 5 minutes). Then I clear all zero invoices.

2. I then run the statements again. This is taking quite long. Approximately 10 minutes just to “Selecting Customers” then it prints the statements about 3 or 4 printouts at a time. This portion takes about 7 or 8 minutes.

We don’t have that many statements with that much detail that it should take this amount of time.

What was once a five minute job is now taking 3 to 4 times longer.

Any assistance would be most appreciated.

Thank you and,

Cheers, JK

Hello John,

What version of Adagio Receivables are you running (see Help | About for the version and date)?

Do you change the print options between the first run and the second? Why are you doing two statement runs?

Hi Andrew,

Thank you for your reply.

We are running receivables 9.0B

Yes we change the print options from the first run just print from any paper tray, the second run prints specifically from Cassette 1 to make sure it is printing on the Statement paper.

On the first statement run it shows all the details of payments, at the end it clears anything that is 0. The second run shows only outstanding invoices, all the detail has been cleared at the end of the first run. It makes for neater more precise statements.

Cheers, JK

You might consider exiting AR between the "first" and "second" run to see if that makes a difference. If it does not make a difference then it is something with the options and not the fact that it is the "second" run.

Do you do anything with the first set of printout? You can suppress the fully paid transactions easily without having to go through the "purge" routine.

Other than changing the printer destination, do you make any other changes to the dialog?

Thank you gentlemen.

We will try both these approaches and post back up.

Cheers, JK
