Good day gents,

We have updated all of our software and at every turn, we have been asked to upgrade the data set in use.

We are however quite stumped by the message from Adagio Invoices saying that the data set is not compatible...

Should this not have just restructured the data on gone forward?

Version: 8.1B

Is there anything I need to do 1st?

If you are now using Adagio Invoices 9.0A, the upgrade is now loaded from a new program directory - \softrak\invoices instead of the previous \softrak\qiwin. Make sure that your shortcuts are using the new program directory. If you are attempting to use the old program on converted data, you won't be able to and will receive an incompatibility message.

Thank you - that helped a lot...

The install process has created the new stuff on my desktop - great.

Going forward will I be able to use the AllWKST install as the last time I used it it put invoices 8.1B into play...

As long as the ALLWKST.EXE is current, you can use it for setting up new workstations.

You shouldn't need to run a workstation setup for computers that have used Adagio in the past. Adagio will automatically detect if one is needed when you start the program. The exception is in the scenario you ran into, where the program upgrade gets installed to a new location and shortcuts need to be assessed for the correct place.

When installing upgrades, it is always desirable to read the Readme or the release notes to see the important notes regarding things to be aware of when performing the upgrade.
