I attended the Bank Rec Webinar this morning at 10:00am. It was very much geared towards selling the product to new users, as perhaps was fitting, as the opening "poll" that was taken was that the audience attending was split 50/50 (users as opposed to people not yet using the product). I don't have a quibble with that, we are all in the business of expanding our business.

However, it would be good to maybe have two different types of webinar, and to let people know ahead of time as to whether it is going to be very "sales oriented" or "intermediate user" type of webinar.

Just a thought...

I did not get anything new out of the webinar, nor was my question answered regarding being able to edit customers directly out of Bank Recs (where I now enter my Cash Batches), instead of what we now have to do, enter the batch and then go into A/R and edit a customer. This was noted on the question/answer area at the end with a short note "Development Decision".

Thanks, as always, for listening.

Hi Barb,

What sort of topics would you like to see presented in an 'intermediate' BankRec webinar, that wasn't presented today?

Indeed one cannot edit AR customers directly within BankRec - there is only View access available. The reason this is the case was due to decisions made by development. We're not indicating that this will never happen, but at the current time this is what's available and the reason why.

Any intermediate stuffs of course!
I can't say I didn't enjoy the webinar this morning.
I noticed Adagio module windows are slightly different than mine (using XP).
I might look into reconcile bank statement electronically. That's cool!

Hi Barb,

Is it possible that we've designed BankRec to be so simple and easy to use that there isn't anything of an "intermediate level" to demonstrate?

This was the first webinar we've done in a long time in which there wasn't a single question asked by any participant during the webinar. Sometimes stuff really is just simple and straightforward. Remember, stuff you already know is simple and stuff you don't is intermediate or advanced (the answer's always obvious once you know what it is).

BTW - Warren did answer the question about editing customers during cash entry - he said you coudn't do it. While that might not have been the answer you wanted to hear - it's the accurate answer, and only R&D can change that fact. We'll see what would be involved in changing this.

Having said that, users of BankRec and Receivables will have the optin of foing their cash receipts in Receivables and passing them back to BankRec when we release Receivables V9.0A late this year or early next (depending on compatibility releases).

On another note, if you (or anyone else monitoring this forum) can think of topics you'd like to see us cover in an "experienced user" webinar, please post them and we'll see what we can do.

Thanks for using Adagio and making use of the webinar training.
