When completely canceling a backorder we prefer to zero out the quantity shipped and quantity backordered. We do this and then post the order. Looking at orders canceled in this way they indicate "Complete" BUT the previous dollar value is still showing.

If we call up the order and post a second time - value goes to zero.

Are we handling this cancelation process incorrectly or is this a small problem with the program?

Yes, you are handling this cancelation process correctly.

There is an issue with the program. I have forwarded it to R&D. It will be resolved on a future release.
