I’m trying to print a report for a batch of invoices from Adagio Invoicing and get this error message

“Access violation at address 10279E07 in module ‘CRPE32.DLL’. Read of address CCCCCCF7”

Then I hit cancel and get this message

Access violation at address 1025C7C1 in module ‘ CRPE32.DLL’. Read of address 00000028

So I can’t print my batch. And then I can’t even exit Adagio cause it gives me this message:
Error: 524 Error in File:
Print job busy
ClosePrintJob <PEClosePrintJob>.

So I end up having to go CTRL, ALT delete to exit adagio.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

What version of Adagio Invoices are you using? What version of Windows is on your workstation? The error is being reported in the database interface file, not the program executable.

One reason this may happen is that there is a mis-match of report tables and data - a solution may be to re-install the Adagio Invoices program.

Another reason the batch listing report may fail is because 'orphaned' batch data files exist in your directory, due to an incorrect restore of data from a backup. The solution is to remove the extraneous data files - newer versions of Adagio Invoices do this with the Integrity Check and Rebuild functions.

This is what tech support always tells me when they are troubleshooting these kinds of issues, so...

Try opening the sample data and see if you get the message when you try printing the report.

Also, does the error message appear when you preview, or only when you print?

Running Adagio Invoices 8.1A, Windows XP. The error message happens both when printing and previewing. I opened the sample data and tried printing a report. It goes through the motions of printing, I don't get an error message, but it does not print anything. Crystal Reports was installed immediately before this happened but on a stand alone workstation, perhaps that has something to do with it?

Run \SOFTRAK\SYSTEM\CHKSYS.EXE and see if it complains about anything on the workstation.

As you recently installed Crystal Reports for Adagio, you need to reinstall all of your Adagio programs. There will be missing information in the supporting report tables files, which is causing the errors you reported here.
