I have accidentally changed the default setting on "hide columns when printed". They used to highlite in blue when I used that option. Now the columns are hidden when I print, however they are not blued out on the screen. Also, the printed copy has a light gray shading. Any ideas how to fix? Thanks - Sue

Hi Sue,

Is this for Finanical Reporter or GridView? Both have a 'hide when printed' format. I assume financial statements.

Perhaps you can go to the View menu and Customize, and on the Display Settings screen, highlight the 'Hide when Printed' text at the bottom left. From here you can specify a colour to associate with the 'Hide when printed' status.

If you select a column, does the 'Hide when printed' option on the pop-up menu show a checkmark? If not, then you just need to select it. If so, then perhaps you can un-select and re-select it?

Does this also occur from a new blank sheet, if you format a column to 'hide when printed'? Perhaps there is a format on your sheet that is over-riding the 'hide when printed' for some reason, though we are unaware that this has happened before.
