Hello:

A client recently got a new computer & performed the Adagio workstation installation on their own. This is normally not a problem because the client is pretty good.

Client is using current versions of GL/AP/AR/IN (but without most recent SP for Invoices).

-From new computer (XP Pro) all Forms are either pushed to the left or the right (Invoices, Cheques etc.)
-From old computer (XP Home) which is still available, Forms are fine.
-Alignment problem shows up in Adagio Preview.
-They have 2 printers - problem appears when printing to either of them.
-All Crystal Reports are fine.
-All Word/Excel documents are fine.
-In Windows Control Panel, user is set to "Metric" (same on old computer).
-Older Invoices lose the right-hand side of the page but Invoices created using the new computer lose the left-hand side(?)

This sounds like a printer-driver problem except that it affects Forms only. Has anyone else faced this sort of a problem? What was the solution?

Thank you.

Hi Bruce,

There is an advanced setting in Windows Regional Settings that can affect the position of the printing on specifications. From Regional Settings, click on the Advanced tab and there is a 'unicode' setting that can be set to English-US, English-Canada, etc. If you change this setting, specifications written on a machine that had another setting can be mis-aligned. We believe this to be a difference between 'inches and centimeters' where an internal number is stored without units.

So the solution would be to change this setting to what is appropriate, but note that if you have some printing too far to the left and others too far to the right, some may need to be re-done.
