Dear John,
If you are using an older version of QCWIN, you could experience this IF your Windows | Regional Settings date format uses a 2-digit year. This could affect the general ledger entries as well.
If this is the case, dates saved in the file are 19"00" instead of 20"00", and this causes the problem of the dates not printing on the cheques, even though they look good in the specification itself.
If however, the Windows settings use a 4-digit year format, there is no problem.
If this does not resolve the problem, then the final thing to do is to go into your cheque specification, remove the offending date spec codes (fields) and re-insert them onto your specification, then save the spec.
This problem was noted early in Feb, 2000. A ptf is not available, however, at that time Registered users could call our Customer Service Department and get a free upgrade. I do not know if they are still extending this offer, as more than a year has gone by since this discovery. Also, if you are using a current version of QCWIN already, this should not be your problem.
If you ARE using an older version of QCWIN, you can contact Customer Service by phone: (604) 736-3741 or by email:
