I exported my financial report using excel direct because some of the headings were wrong. But, I can't remember how to save it so that it will appear in adagio...i know it needs to have the .ccw extension but I don't remember what file type. Thanks!!

Hi, Sherri,

So, you opened a financial statement in Adagio's financial reporter (FR) and used the Excel Direct button to export the file to Excel wherein you made some changes that you now want to bring back into Adagio's FR?

If so, open the FR with a new blank worksheet. Open Excel also and the spreadsheet that is the changed statement.

Within Adagio's FR, from the menu, select File | Import from Excel Direct. Now, you can save the changed statement in Adagio with a name beginning with GL! and ending with your dataset's 3-character extension.

Is there a particular reason why you have to be editing the column titles in Excel? Could this information be edited in the financial statement in the Financial Reporter (either by using straight text or a formula) and thus save you time?

If you can let us know what is in the headings that you are currently editing, perhaps we can suggest a formula or something that will help get what you want. For example, there is a formula GLFPE(code) that will give you the period ending date for the code that you are printing - such as 'Sep 30, 2007' for your current month [=GLFPE("M")] or year to date [=GLFPE("Y")] net changes. GLFPS(code) is the starting date of the range - such as 'Sep 1, 2007' for current month and 'Jan 1, 2007' for year to date.

Hi, Sherri,

Two things, one when you are in Adagio, from the menu, would you select Help | About and let me know what module, version and dates (eg. Adagio Ledger 8.1A (070923)) you are using?

Also, how are you accessing the Financial Reporter, look at the upper left corner of the window. Does it say 'Print Financial Report...' or 'Maintain Financial Reports ...'?
