Trying to print my Trial Balance and I can't get my departments.

On the report page the account button, is highlighted but not the department button. When I look at the display page all the departments are there....

Have you simply paused on the print dialog or have you selected Preview or Print and didn't get the results you are looking for?

On the Print dialog, if departments are enabled in the Company Profile, the Account dropdown field is active (you are also able to change the setting to Department by clicking on the dropdown, which reverses the order of the sort fields) and you can select to report on all accounts or enter a start and stop range.

The Department dropdown field is inactive, selecting that you would sort by Department code within Account code on the report. However, as you noted, you are still able to select a starting and ending range of departments to be reported on.

For example, if you select to report on all Accounts but only on one Department code, the report will still be sorted by Account but only those Accounts that have the particular Department code will be reported on.

It's just another way to narrow the scope of the information (and paper) being reported on if desired.
