We have two reports in Adagio Inventory that don't want to run properly:
1. Print Item Status and
2. Print Physical Inventory Worksheet.
Regardless of the options and ranges selected nothing prints. ie. in both cases the screen returns to the input screen.

In the case of the Print Physical Inventory Worksheet the selected data range does appear "Enter/Edit Physical Inventory" program.

It would seem like we're missing something simple. Is there a an option switch that needs to be selected for these reports to run properly?

Hi, Cary,

We don't really have enough information to properly assess this.

Can you tell us exactly what version and dates of Adagio IC you are using? Also, what is the range of item numbers you are trying to run the report on? Are you perhaps using both a start-
ing and ending item # of 'blank'?

Do you have Remember Report Settings turned on in the Company Profile. If so, you might want to turn it off and respecify your starting and ending range as start = 'blank' and end = Z's (simply delete whatever is in the ending field, then hold done the Z key). Do the same for the 2nd criterion field if you are trying to print the Physical Inventory worksheet. When you print, do you obtain results now?

If you are getting no results, not even a blank page appearing, what happens when you try to Preview the report(s). Do you see a progress bar? Do you see anything else?

And, do all other reports print in IC?

Hi, Cary,

We don't really have enough information to properly assess this.

Can you tell us exactly what version and dates of Adagio IC you are using?

06/26 - Using Version 8.0B (061218) database version: 1.12.53.2369

Also, what is the range of item numbers you are trying to run the report on?
06/26 - the users have tried various ranges from say aaaaaa to zzzzzz or smaller more specific ranges.

Are you perhaps using both a starting and ending item # of 'blank'?
06/26 - generally no. The user has tried both: a. blank to zzzzz and also b. specific (narrower) ranges.

Do you have Remember Report Settings turned on in the Company Profile.
06/26 - Remember Report Settings has been turned off. Turning it on or changing as you suggest has no effect.

06/26 - still no results

If you are getting no results, not even a blank page appearing, what happens when you try to Preview the report(s). Do you see a progress bar? Do you see anything else?
06/26 - We're certainly familiar with the "progress bar" and especially the wonderful "preview reports" option. In both the affected reports there is no progress bar, or in preview mode the progress bar/report screen flashes by in a fraction of a second.

And, do all other reports print in IC?
06/26 - Yes, the other I/C reports run fine

06/26 - We have a separate issue relating to units of measure that we thought we'd resolved. Initially the user put in all the various units of measure they thought they'd use.
I/C accepts them all, but except for "each" uom, integrity check is showing that every other uom is an error. Could these problems be related?

Hi, Cary,

Thank you for taking the time to answer each question.

Two more, have you tried opening sample data (SOFTRAK\ICWIN\Samdata folder) and printing both of the reports? Do the reports (a) print or (b) give you the same progress bar and screen flash?

Also, I don't believe your DIC errors are related. They are more probably related to the uom being changed on an item and that item having been sold previously using an old uom that is sitting in history.

6/26 Good call. Both of the I/C reports in question run just fine with the sample data and with any selected variable. This should confirm that the software (or workstations) are not at fault.
Knowing this, we've gone back and tried to compare as many options as we could find or think of for the two data sets.

We've been able to run the Item Status Reports from the main data when either "Total quantities" or "Quantities by location" were selected. The report will not run if both options are selected.

Also, I don't believe your DIC errors are related. They are more probably related to the uom being changed on an item and that item having been sold previously using an old uom that is sitting in history.
06/26 thanks we'll keep checking

Hi Cary,

Thanks for checking!

Here's something to try. Use the Item Inquiry function and open up an item. Go to the Quantities screen. This shows the quantities allowed at each location and the respective values.

We've seen data corruption in the ICILOC file cause problems with reports such as the Item Valuation. It was a different error than what you reported. PErhaps run a Data Integrity Check on your data, just to be sure.

See this previous posting here for more information.

B. From our side we don't see values of any kind under the Item Inquiry screen. Are you perhaps referring to the "Item Inquiry with Sales and Costs" screen?
If so, valuations are found in the "Costing" screen (tab).
In the Costing screen 5 locations are listed, with only Lot 1 having quantities and values. (Why does this screen refer to this as Lot?) If you provide your e-mail we can send an image.

6/26 DIC is showing numerous errors with I/C, but no problems with locations. (pasted from DIC)
Application Integrity Phase

Loading Account Sets ... OK
Loading Locations ... OK <-- **
Loading Categories ... OK
Loading Price Lists ... OK
Loading Tax Groups ... OK
Company Profile ... Checked OK

The problems all have to do with pricing and costing units: eg.
Item XX/XXX-FG350 pricing unit is not valid.
Item XX/XXX-FG350 costing unit is not valid.
