This question has been received from an Adagio OrderEntry user.

We print a list of unshipped orders each day and then go over several production issues on late items with the appropriate departments. They then give commitments to our general manager as to when they can finish their respective part of the items that are late. We would like a way to keep notes on line items of open orders with dates that have been committed to and better yet print a punchlist for each person in production describing what they have to do and by what date. We used to do this by hand on a copy of the order because it can keep a running history. Now we have to print a new list each day so we can see what has been added to it and what has been removed from invoicing. The problem is that the notes from the old sheet need to be transposed to the new sheet each day.

My suggestion is below. All other suggestions welcome.

Hello Beau,

Why not add the notes as Comment or Instruction lines after the item they refer too. Then use a picking list or order confirmation form (if you're not using one of those document types) to print out the notes on the order.

Another suggestion to avoid the transcription issue would be to just staple the various generations of the order together.
