I regularly am getting an address violation message in AP. The message this time was " Address violation at address 0040419A in module 'APWIN.EXE' Read of address 00000070." This is the same or very similar to the messages I have been receiving. Each time I get this message I run an integrity check and it comes back clean (no errors). So I be concerned?

Sammy, it's very difficult to try to assess this properly without knowing what you're doing when you receive an error message, what the exact error message is, the version/dates of your software, etc. Try opening sample data (on the same drive as your software in SOFTRAK\APWIN\Samdata) and doing some of the same things you do in your own data when you receive this message. Are you able to recreate the situation? If so, then, it's possible you need to reinstall your AP software.

It might be a very good idea for you to contact your Adagio dealer/consultant.

Thanks for the response. I have three active companies that I am using Adagio for and this only occurs in one of them. This time it occured after posting invoices, but it also has occured after printing transaction reports (Open Payables). It doesn't seem to affect the vendors acounts or the GL's as far as I can tell.

After writing my last response I had an access violation in my main company. It occured while posting manual checks and occurred 5 or 6 times in the same batch. Could this have anything to do with the fact I having closed year end yet and am sitll posting until the payables were finished and the bank reconciled? Because it is saying it was attempting to read the next record in history I wondered if the year and or fiscal period could be in conflict. Thanks!

Hi Sammy

This is a bug that was fixed with the latest release of AP. Make sure you install the 060626 service pack. It happens on the first manual check batch right after year end.
