I ordered and rec'd some blank check stock from Wellspring. I used the Adagio sample Check CPA specification from the templates menu, changing only what was nessasary to make it our own chq. spec. for our company. I printed off about 10 samples and sent them to our bank RBC for a test run against the CPA spec's and they came back with the folowing. (1) Low toner signal reading, which I understand will be the case till I start using magnetic toner. (2) All fields are not positioned properly according to spec's, which I don't think I have changed the positions of any from the template. (3) Borderline / background screen are within 5/8" band. CPA is that the 5/8" band must be kept clear and used only for E-13B charactors. These were their words back. Any thoughts.
Thanks

Hi PaulT,

Your printer might re-position the fields slightly. Use the lasso in the spec designer to shift a large number of fields around on the specification.

Might you be a little more specific as to which fields they complained were not correctly positioned?

For item (3), are they refering to the alignment mark for the MICR printing? We are aware that this mark is non-conforming (although it does simplify lining up all the fields and more than 1 Million cheques a month are clearing happily with it). The next print run of cheques will not have that mark.

BTW - the CPA has moved the implementation date of the new requirements to July 1, 2007 (although that might change too!)
