After upgrading some modules, I am getting an error when trying to open SqlSync64. Gridview RW is not licensed, please license and try again. any suggestions? This error is similar to the one before the AP/AR service pack updates.

Hi Liz C,

Make sure you have GridView RW installed properly. To cross check, go to Softrak/Addons folder & see whether you have GridViewRW.dll

Hi support, I've connected with Liz and verified that GVRW is functional (the DLL is in place).

We can launch the 32-bit GV and utilize the RW feature, but we cannot do the same with the 64-bit version. It just launches regular GV instead. So we can launch the 32 bit version of Sync but not the 64 bit version.

Something is going on with the 64-bit versions. The 64-bit GV DLL is in place inside the addons/x64 folder, dated to 3/28/25.

I think this version of the DLL is problematic. We have another system that just got a copy from the IC or AR update and GVRW64 is broken similarly there too.

We think it's connected to the installation of the AR(250324) and AP(250326) service packs as there was no issue with the sync process that ran prior to their installation. they were probably distributing the same DLL.

Something similar was reported in this thread: https://portal.softrak.com/ubbthreads/ubbthreads.php/ubb/showflat/Number/71636/

The installers that were used in this case are signed to April 22nd and match what is available to download from the website today, so I believe the right copies were used in our case.

Hi Warren,

We reported this on 4/21 and I can verify that the revised AR/AP SP's fixed the issue.

Hi Audrey, thanks for weighing in. Do you have the same date on your 64-bit GVRW DLL still? and you can actually write to a table using the 64-bit version?

Do your installers have the April 22nd signed date (properties > digital signatures tab) on them or something even newer than that?

From what I can tell, the newer versions of the installers were used to install in this case, but it is confusing when you have multiple different copies of the same release out there.

The new SP's have the same date as the ones that were incorrect, which makes it very confusing. I would re-download, and re-install. I was told by support, that I only needed to do one module, not both. I haven't tried to use GVRW since then, but was able to load GV64 without issue after the re-install.

I did re-download & re-install both service packs (yes, very confusing because the dates are the same). This did not resolve my issue frown

I stand corrected. I just tested RW. The replacement SP's fixed the issue of not being able to run GV64, but if i try to use GV64RW, I don't get a message, but it doesn't load the RW at all. I CAN use RW with regular GVWIN.

To recap, before the SP's, everything was working. After the 1st round of SP's, GV64 was not working at all.

Now, GVWIN works in read and read/write
GV64 works in read, but NOT in read/write.
