A client sells some items that require any customer to buy a minimum quantity - for example they must order 3 (or 4 or more) of an item.

Can anyone think of a way that doesn't involved a popup to prevent the data clerk from entering 1 or 2 of an item on an order?

I don't think there's any way in OE (perhaps an alternate Unit of Measure?) but you could keep a "real time" GV Workspace open that would highlight any order rows where the minimum order quantity is not met.

I thought about alternate Unit of Measure but it has a couple of problems. The GV workspace is an idea, but they want to prevent, not catch after the fact.

So let's consider this a suggestion for a new release of Inventory (since the minimum quantity would be "by item".
