Hello All

I am in the process of installing the Payables update from 9.3A to 9.3B, 200321 installer. Running into an issue - end up stuck during the install on "Downloading NovaPDF File (may take several minutes)..." Been over an hour. I gather this is supposed to get the installer AdagioV3PDF.exe from someplace, but it never shows up. I can end that task, and the installer appears to finish, but when I run Payables on a workstation, it goes to update (which it should) but again gets stuck on same message.

I am under the impression the NovaPDF10/AdagioV3PDF installer should have been part of the package? If is is missing, is there some way I can get it, other than just re-running the server install (which I have done - no change, still doesn't add it)?

Further note - this is on Win10 1809. I have a call into our consultant, but it is the weekend...

Hi Brian,

It's possible your anti-virus or Windows security is blocking the files. Try disabling the AV.
Otherwise, you may have to wait for your consultant to get you through the install.

Thanks, but I have already gone through, disabled all AV and Firewall, Turned UAC off - it still can't seem to download the AdagioV3PDF.exe file - and as far as I can tell, it is all I am missing. Is there anyplace I can get this installer - support download, or someone DM me with a copy? This is so close. I'd hate to have to wait 2 days for our consultant when it is something so relatively trivial.

Try running X:\Softrak\System\AdagioPDF\AdagioV3PDF.exe (where X: should be replaced by the correct drive letter). If there's a problem installing, the message might be more visible this way. But it it's not even there, that confirms your diagnosis that there is a problem downloading the file.

Thank you Bruce - I have checked, and it is definitely not there. Interestingly, it did download (and install) the ODBCv3 update, and we already had the Crystal Reports R25 update. It appears to be the only one. The main install to the server hangs on downloading it; you can quit the download and it finishes installing without it, but then the workstation installation tries to download it - and again takes forever., Again, can be quit, but either goes into a continuous update cycle on re-starting Payables.

I have tried the usual stuff - disable UAC, Av, and Firewall, tried on our 3 operating systems (Win 10 1803 and 1809, Server2019) all same issue. I have a couple other things I am trying (DNS issue, can't find the download server?), but is there someplace I can just manually download the file? The installation downloads it (when operating properly) so it has to be getting it from someplace.

Thanks for the suggestions on this - I have solved it, and thought I would share.

I finally had to run teh server upgrade for 9.3.A to 9.3B on an older machine (Server2008r2 - Win7 under the hood). Running it from the older platform actually updated all of the server-side files properly. I was then able to run the workstation updates on Win10 successfully.

The issue appears to be around Windows 10 blocking the Wise installer (and uninstaller). I disabled every possible vector I could find for the block, but it still would not let certain processes related to it run. No idea why, as they run fine under the older OS, and run fine for the workstation update. I'll leave that for Adagio to sort out...

Is there an update for this issue? What other method do we have if we don't have the option of the server 2008r2 with Windows 7? We've tried everything else.

Copy the installer files from your own machine under the C:\SOFTRAK\system\AdagioPDF folder. Then try running them manually if the wksetup doesn't install them.
