Adagio screens are freezing when left idle for several minutes or when switching to other applications and returning back to the Adagio screen.

This is on a new replacement computer running Windows 10 (64-bit) with the latest build, after I did the Adagio workstation setup installation.

The previous computer and other computers on the network have been running fine. They are all Windows 10 (64-bit). Adagio is installed and running on a Windows Server 2019.

Any thoughts?

Allan:

How many monitors?
What are they?

I've run into difficulty with multiple mismatched monitors.

Try: Log into Adagio with the normal user ID, go to each module and reset "Windows" to "Original sizes".

Allan:

Are the drive letters "going to sleep"? I've seen drive letters go into an inactive mode (indicated by a red "X" on the drive letter in Windows Explorer) when there hasn't been activity for a period of time.

Hi Allan,

Further to Bruce's comment, you may want to have a look at this tech tip about Windows 10 and problems with network drives being replaced on W10 machines.

Hi: There were a number of posts on the Adagio dealer forum about this issue back in 2019.
At the time, we wrote up this document summarizing the issue and suggested solutions:

In this case, it was not the multi-screen coordinates. I did confirm that the drive was not going to sleep. Also made the registry changes for Win10 and group policies. None of these resolved the freezing.

I did get it resolved by disabling Opportunistic Locking (OpLocks) on that workstation.

Allan:

We've also had issues with W2019, though not this one that I'm aware of. Disappointing to see that we are back to battling OpLocks settings.
