We have run into an issue converting re the subject.

We get the following errors:

"Conversion failed to complete. Error occured when checking existance of the I/C Receipt Header data file."

"Conversion failed to complete. Error occured when creating the I/C Receipt Header data file."

Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance.

John

Hi, John,

I'm sure you did a backup of the data prior to starting the conversion. You can restore the data and run DIC to determine if there are any integrity errors and, if so, if they can be rebuilt.

John,

What version of Inventory are you attempting to convert from?
Do you use the Receipt function in Inventory?
Are there any Receipts before converting?

It would help to know what version you are converting from.

Did this database start out in life as an ACCPAC Plus database? If so then my guess is that there are still PO's left over from ACCPAC Plus.

Hi,

Seems this data did have old Plus PO receipts in it. Adagio has never worked with these and anyone converting a site (this was not Vickie and probably not John either) from DOS w/POs needs to be sure to complete those POs in DOS 'before' converting to Adagio.

In any event, Vickie's fixed up their data and it converted just fine after.

Well to follow up on the thread here we are converting from I/C V9.2A and yes the original database was DOS.

We had no issues converting to V9.2A from DOS (they did not use PO's in DOS). Only started to use PO's when they started to use Adagio. So glad we are not the only one having an issue going from V9.2A to V9.3A.

Now with this said using Adagio PO they did create a couple of receipts in PO which ended up in I/C. But other than that this is it.

My question is how did Vickie fix hers? I don't see anything posted as to what she did.

Thanks in advance.

John

Hi, John,

Not having seen your data, I can't swear to whether the issue is the same or not. Nor, can I swear to how to fix the data.

Do you receive any particular errors when you try to edit any of the receipts in their data? That might give a clue. Do you have any receipt headers that don't have a Rcpt # when seen in GV?

It's possible that it is the same issue though. We (Softrak and other dealers) have found that a site might have started using a function then stopped using it, or there was some turnover and the new staff didn't use it, or ... but again, all I can do is speculate.

If you'd like to upload the 'pre'conversion IC data to our DBR site and flag it for TechSupport, I'll take a look at it if it arrives before the end of my day.
