Have you tried Miscellaneous Charges? They can be defined in the Order Entry module.

PS: To get the best answers on the Forum, it helps to state questions as clearly as possible. Punctuation can help to make sentences easier to understand.

Another way is to define these fees as Tax Jurisdictions on the tax group, assuming that there are available jurisdictions to do this - the maximum is 5. The fee amounts would be entered either in one of the User Defined Cost fields on the item, or as a new 'Tax Levy' field with your Fee description label set in the Inventory company profile. The OE Tax Group would use this User Defined Cost or Tax Levy field as the tax base rather than the item price, with a 'tax rate' of 100% to output the entire amount.

The OE Invoice form would require creating a new detail section to print 'taxes' as details, which would include your Recycling/Deposit Fees. The sample OE specification form titled 'Invoice: Detail Tax' shows what this would look like, and you can create sections for just these fees and not for others such as GST.

I just upgraded to Adagio from Accpac Plus. The deposit and recycling fee amount for each item is dependant on size of the container and number of containers is the case of the product. Additionally there is no GST charged on the deposit amount but if the item was GST chargable there is GST charged on the Recycling Fee. In Accpac all these package fees were put in as inventory items. There is 26 deposit and recycling fee inventory items in inventory.
We have\had route accounting software (and Desktop) that linked the item, deposit fee, and recycling fee together so when we entered the product being purchased the deposit fees were also added to the order and amounts printed under the item. We did not enter any orders in Accpac Order entry.

Now with Adagio Order Entry I would like to be able to just Enter the product and the Deposit and Recycling Fee would also be entered automatically with the entry. We don't want to have to enter three items for the one product.

The tax option above is not the solution.

Hello,

We normally decline to assist in the setup of taxes and environmental fees as these are very specific to the setup of inventory items and customers.

Working through these options is best done with your Adagio Consultant.

Actually the tax option is the solution as Bottle deposits etc are just another tax levy.

If your Adagio consultant cannot assist you with this matter please feel free to contact me.

Hi,
When you see a site that has to enable the Eco Fees and change from non-stock item solution, you are normally looking at a medium sized job. I'm thinking that enabling the different rates (from 100%) for multiple types of fees deposit/recycling can be handled with different jurisdictions with a twist of using a different % factor to derive the flat amount for each item, by using $100 as the base amount.

Most of our sites that need Eco Fee calculation as a tax/fee which Adagio does a great job of supporting, require rebuilding the tax tables because the actual Eco Fees are required as the first Tax Jurisdiction (0), and are subject to the taxes calculated at the higher tax jurisdictions.

And so in your case in Yukon, you will need to change your GST from jurisdiction 0 to Jurisdiction 1. Easier said than done because it affects tax tracking and your tax compliance reporting cutoff so you definitely need to call your Adagio consultant. And the GST tax calculation on the Eco fee is determined by the tax status of the item, so your requirement for GST exempt and GST applicable on the Eco Fees depending on the item, is resolved.

And your OE form specifications will need changing and testing.

Best,
Brian
