Hi Alida,

This is not a known issue to us.

Further information will be required to investigate the error. There are things to consider that might have caused the error:

Was there anyone else accessing QCW at the same time.
Was there a power outage or surge on the system.

If you can duplicate the issue, please tell us what you were doing when you received the error. Also, we will need more information on your environment. Are you on a network ect

Hello,

I had just finished printing a cheque when I got the caution message. I had to ctrl-alt-del to get out of QC+ as I kept clicking on "ok" and the message kept coming up.

When I opened QC+ again, I received the message "Unable to load Database DLL(SSDBI.DLL)" and the program wouldn't open. I am on a network. The data is on the server; the QC+ program is on my PC. There was nothing wrong with the server connection as I immediately tried to retrieve data from the server within another application.

I then rebooted my computer and tried again and QC+ worked fine. I performed a data integrity check. The error message was that 24 of the 25 cheques had been printed. There were only 24 cheque there and all had been printed.

Before I got the first original message, I was trying to print a cheque and it wouldn't print, so i deleted it. I then re-entered the cheque, printed it, then i received the "file lock could not be upgraded" caution.

Nobody else in my office has access to QC+. There was not a power surge to my knowledge (although, they were forcasting those solar showers which could cause power surges (there is a surge protector on the server, but not my PC)).

Hope this helps. Things seem to be working fine now.

Thank you,
Alida

Hello Alida,

It is great to hear everything is working fine.

One thing to keep in mind is when you do receive a message like that again, rebooting the workstation always helps because QCW sometimes thinks there is someone else trying to access the program. Also, there could be a resource file that is stuck or corrupted and rebooting will clear the connection.

When you ran the Data Integrity Check the error ?24 of 25 cheques printed? and there were only 24, you should of clicked on the ?Rebuild? and it would of fixed any errors. After the errors are corrected run the Data Integrity Check again.
