We have determined the problem and now everything is working for Victor.
When MultiCurrency was installed, the file date of QRTMCW80.QRW was the date of the install (May 20, 2006), not the correct date of Aug 12, 2003. Running the CHKSYS utility should have shown this.
However, a much older version of the CHKSYS (year 2002) program existed on the network with the same incorrect May 20, 2006 date - and this means that installing Adagio upgrades was not overwriting and updating the CHKSYS utility. Since Adagio MultiCurrency started shipping in 2003, the CHKSYS Victor had installed wasn't even looking for MC files. But it was looking at Inventory (where the table was mentioned above).
So the problem was that program files got installed with "today's" date rather than the actual date. All the re-installs in the world would not fix this - until an upgrade was released with the program files dated after May 20, 2006...
I guess Doug gets the award for having the best eyes - in correctly noticing that there was no MultiCurrency section within the CHKSYS posted results.
===========
In case anyone wants to know why this happened - a program was installed directly from the server (Crystal Reports for Adagio) rather than from a workstation. In this scenario, the windows system date will override the modification date of files it is installing, and this will throw off the date sensitivity of Adagio when checking for appropriate files, and the ability of Windows to overwrite updated program files.
