Hi Everyone,

I am just setting up a new GL/AP/AR for a customer, and I was able to fully set up GL & AP. I then keyed all info into AR and backed everything up, but then when I went back in to open AR, I got the error message: "Home Currency [ ] not found in currency files.". I deleted all of my AR*.ext data and then rekeyed everything into AR again (double-checking that my currency clearly showed "DOS"), backed up, and got the same error message again.

Can someone please tell me what the actual file name is for the currency code? I know its in the "MC" files, but I need to know the exact name to ensure that I have it in my data.

Thanks anyone who can help! smile

MC files are not in your data directory. When you created this database it would have asked you where they are.

I suspect you gave the wrong answer. The pointer is in ADSPROF.ext in your data folder. Try copying this file from one of your working database.

Thanks Doug, I double-checked my data and had that file in there, so I deleted it, and then copied one from another proper working directories/files and changed the extension (to match my data) and that didn't work either.

Are there other files that need to also be in the data in order for that one to work?

Orianne:

This is one of those problems that can be very difficult to resolve in a forum. It really requires hands on your computer to sort out.

I suggest you contact your Adagio Consultant for assistance.

What Doug suggested above should have worked. If you can launch one dataset successfully, then copying the ADSPROF file from that dataset to a second dataset should allow the second dataset to launch, if the currencies are the same.

So what Doug is basically saying in his second post is that he is stumped. So am I.

Thank you Doug and Steve. Bummer. Sadly, my guess is that I'm going to have to delete ALL of my data that I've already set up in GL & AP (and of course AR), and start from scratch. frown

I'm just disappointed, given that it took me a good few hours to set everything up, and then after doing it all, I get that error message, and even when deleting the AR data, and rekeying all of the setup there, it still gave me the same thing.

C'est la vie I guess. Just so frustrating.... frown

Hi Orianne,

You don't have to do that. If you let a consultant look at the data, they should be able to figure out why in relatively short order. And if it's a data repair to fix the currency fields, it may be worth saving all that time to re create it again.

By the sounds of it, if you start over you'll just create the same problem again.

If your consultant is unable to help you out feel free to give me a call.
