A client is asking if it's possible to attach PDFs to the item master in addition to the image?

I think not, but is there a workaround anyone has come up with - maybe using optional fields?

I assume eventually DocStore will offer this feature, but it's an expensive way of answering this simple need.

If you can make the Folder and File name fit in 75 characters, you could save them in one of the "Additional Comment" lines.

That's the path and name, but that's not an attachment. They are going to want a URL so that clicking on the field will open the pdf?

Yes but as I mentioned that’s an expensive solution for this request.

The plan is for Inventory 9.3A to support DocStore and allow attaching PDFs to items and transactions.

We don't have any plans to allow attaching PDFs when DocStore is not installed and integrated.

Without DocStore, you will require some workaround that may not be elegant.

The Inventory 93A (19.10.23) Upgrade has been released. If you have DocStore, you can attach to the Item Master.
