Hi,
I created a GridView that shows both Invoice and Credit Note when I realize that the "Date" field in the detail line are not populated for all lines.
@O93A183 @O93AHLN
Is it normal (or is there any reason) for the "Date" in the detail line to not populate a date for Credit Note created without Invoice reference?
Only Credit Note is affected.

Hello Steve,
I appreciate the response. And thank you for letting me know that I cannot use this forum on this type of question. So, in the future, if I want to reach out to softrak directly on this type of question, would you mind telling me where or how to do that?
As for the credit note date to get it from the header information, that is what I did for the report I created.
RE: Detail Date, I was just curious as to why on some it populates and some don't. Because if I'm not mistaken, if you invoices an order, the date on the detail area actually populate the invoice date. But then again, I could be mistaken.

Hi Marlon,
If you create a Credit Note, there is no Expected Ship Date field on the item detail. The only possible dates you can enter here are Optional date fields. If you are crediting an invoice where there was a value for Expected Ship Date, it will be carried over to the detail on the credit note, but it will not be visible (or useful) unless you are looking at the data with GridView or some other custom report process. If you are creating a credit note that is not reading an invoice, or adding a new item to the credit note, then the expected ship date field is blank.
It is completely normal and expected for credit note details not coming from an invoice to have a blank Expected Ship Date.
And if you are looking to add one or two fields from the Order Header file, GridView will be faster to use the Insert Related Data function to get just that field, rather than using a composite Detail + Header table.
