1. In OE, create an order for QTY 1 ordered, 0 shipped of any item and post as an order.

2. In OE, edit the same order and update it to QTY 2 ordered, 0 shipped of the same line item and posted as an order again.

3. In CQ, find the order and convert it to a quote.

4. In CQ, open the quote and you will see the quote is for QTY 1 which is the "originally ordered" QTY, instead of QTY 2 which is the current QTY on the order.

Is there a setting somewhere for this? If not, can Softrak fix this issue? We only want to quote on the current quantity not the "originally ordered" quantity.

You way would create a quote for a quantity of 3. Not the result expected.

Ship all and your quote would be for zero quantity.

Why would anyone quote on the already shipped quantities? A customer quote would only ever be for the current unshipped quantities. Also, in my example, none have been shipped. The order was originally created for qty 1 and then increased to qty 2.

Susan, I think in this case it will work if you don't use the original quantities.

There are two fields

Quantity Originally Ordered - self explanatory and cannot be edited after the order is posted
Quantity Remaining on Order - which is reduced to zero as you ship or can be increased manually (as per your example)

Quotes from the Quantity Remaining on Order (essentially what you asked for) doesn't work as a field to use for creating a new quote as this field counts down to zero as the quantity is shipped.

What you want then is the ability to edit the Quantity Originally Ordered, which then needs to update the Quantity Remaining on Order, so that any changes to order quantity is reflected in future quotes.

Seems simple enough but I'm not a programmer. This isn't a "Bug" or even a flawed logic as the logic fits the available fields in OE.
