Have recently reinstalled both Adagio Ledger and Accounts Payable but having a problem retrieving the AP batches into the GL as they are not appearing on the Retrieve batches function. The GL and AP program files are located on the C drive however have created separate Data folders, also on the C Drive but not in the Program folder. Could this be the cause of the problem? Reason this was done is that the Paydirt payroll program would not transfer over to the GL due to permission issues with the Adagio Program folders. Payroll program now imports but the AP does not.

What are the version(release dates) of GL and AP?

Are you saying there's one data folder for both GL and AP, or that GL data is in a separate folder from the AP data?

If GL data's in a separate folder from AP, are you taking care on the GL Retrieve window to set the Data path to that of where the AP data is stored?

Is the AP file to be retrieved named APALBTCH.xxx? Is there an APBRSCAL.xxx data file in the AP data?

Adagio data for a single company is normally all placed in the same Folder. Your Adagio Ledger and Adagio Payables data should be in the same Folder so that Adagio Payables can validate expense entries against the chart of accounts.

I have versions 9.3A for both GL and AP but I think Andrew's comment is the answer as could not remember how I installed this initially all those years ago. The APALBTCH.xxx file is in the AP Data folder and there is also a APBRSCAL.xxx file which does not show as updated. I will move data over to the GL data folder and return to the forum if problem persists.
