Can you give me a list of files and Data file names required to run GL data. Our computer lost data files and I have been able to recover what i thought was all of them but I end up with errors when trying to access. The error is a problem with ADS.DLL file.
Also we had the program warn us that new version was required for opening maintain report file. We downlaoded 8.0c but now most of the program gives us errors.

The ADS.DLL file is a program file that should be in the \softrak\system folder.

If it is not there, you may need to re-install one or more Adagio modules.

As far as the program goes - just re-install the Adagio module - it's way better than trying to copy in individual files.

Adagio Ledger data files all begin "GL" and have the extension you selected when the data was created. The most important files are:

• GLDATA.xxx
• GLPST.xxx
• GLGLOB.xxx
  

There are lots of others, but with these it would be possible to rebuild an incomplete set.

Depending upon how you recovered the program files the file dates may have been changed. Adagio checks file dates to verify that everything is installed correctly. The best answer is to remove all of the program files and reinstall everything freash.

As far as the data is concerned there is no easy way to answer this. Do a search for gl* and *.DAT where DAt is your data extension. If you have recovered deleted files from your hard drive you will need a expert to help you sort them out as the first charater is usually changed and serveral sets of data may have been recovered.
